The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 was an instant hit from the day it hit the market. Sporting a 638 horsepower supercharged LS-9 V8, the ZR-1 became one of the fastest and best performing cars over night. With a top speed of over 200 mph and a record setting 7 minute 26 second lap of the Nurburgring, who would need more power and performance The folks at Hennessey believe there was still room for improvement, and believe it or not, they found a way to do it. With its upgraded supercharger and its superior induction and exhaust systems, the Z700 is now putting out 705 horsepower and 717 ft-lbs of torque. Keep in mind that the car weighs 3300 lbs! Then throw in some suspension and wheel modifications and you get the idea. This car is a serious machine designed to simply annihilate anything you put it against, and for sure, you'd be hard pressed to find something that could take this Vette out. The cost of admission is a staggering $200,000 USD, which can be a little hard to swallow when you pull out of a Chevy dealer. Still, based on the performance that this car is capable of, this is a relative bargain.
