BMW's X6 M

Bmw is releasing its X6 M sports activity vehicle for the North American within the next couple months. This uniquely shaped sporty crossover fills a very demanding niche for the mid life crisis stricken crowd. Being a crossover but only seating 4 persons renders this model somewhat unpractical. Further complicating its existence is the fact that it is smaller and more expensive than its big brother the BMW X5. But despite these negatives, it still excels in its niche market. The powerplant is a new 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 with an impressive output of 555 horsepower and 500 ft-lbs of torque. This new engine is sporting a new twin screw turbo that is supposed to eliminate lag completely. This system is probably very similar to the N54 twin turbo engine that debuted in the 335i, which featured a low inertia turbo and a regular turbo to target different areas in the engines power curve. Unconfirmed sources claim a 4.5 second 0-60 time, which is certainly believable. One thing is for sure about this SAV, its going to be a real track star.
