Aston Martin V12 Zagato will enter limited production
Looking for a way to blow that half a million dollars or so that’s been weighing down your bank account? Well, if your one of the first 150 people to give Aston Martin a call starting today, you could get your hands on a brand spankin’ new, super exclusive V12 Zagato road car.
After a successful run as both a show-stopping runway model as well as a hardened endurance racer, the V12 Zagato will go into production as a street legal road vehicle. The concept for the new model created significant customer interest after taking home honors at the Villa D’Este Concours a week before it successfully completed the grueling Nürburgring 24 Hour endurance race.

Based on Aston Martin’s popular Vantage V12, the 2-door, 2-seat Zagato features a hand built body of aluminum and carbon fiber with each aluminum body panel being built the old fashioned way using an English wheel. Aston’s designers managed to create what they call an “elegant yet brutal” design that would not be possible using modern pre-formed panel techniques. Aston’s own CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, said of the V12 Zagato, “Such style, exclusivity, and fastidious craftsmanship ensures it will be one of the most highly coveted models in Aston Martin’s 98-year history.”
Aesthetics aside, the V12 Zagato will surely have the performance to back up its razor sharp looks as the racing prowess of its 6.0-liter V12 engine has already been tested in the most grueling of events. Power for the high revving 12-pot is rated at an impressive 510 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque and is managed by a six-speed automated select shift transmission.
Orders are being taken now for the limited run of 150 units of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato that will go into production in the summer of 2012 at the company’s headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire. Everyone rush to your phones now as the exclusive beast will be sold on a first come, first serve basis… with a paltry base price of around $527,000 U.S.
